Altcoin season in full swing when Ethereum, Tezos and Ripple shine

ether has reached a new all-time high and includes altcoins Ripple, Tezos and Decreed make big profits in the process Bitcoin acts in a fairly narrow range.

Shortly after noon, Ether hit a high of $ 2,153.08 ($ 2,818), and at 3:07 p.m. AEDT was trading just below it at $ 2,122.88.

According to Coingolive, no fewer than 14 other top 100 cryptocurrencies had broken their all time in the past 24 hours, including Nexus, Tezos, Decred, VeChain, Holo and THORChain.

Only 10 of the top 100 coins had declined in the past 24 hours, the rest of the market was solidly in the green and 23 coins posted double-digit gains.

stack (STX) was the biggest gain in the past 24 hours to 3:35 p.m., up 111 percent to $ 2.45 after the token became available for trading on South Korea-based crypto exchange Upbit.

The platform aims to replace centralized cloud service providers with decentralized apps and smart contracts based on the Bitcoin network.

Ripple’s XRP token rose 26.2 percent to $ 88 and traded up to $ 93.99, according to Coinmarketcap.

The token was back in 6th place on Coinmarketcap and overtook Cardano (ADA), which had fallen to 7th place. ADA rose 1.8 percent to $ 1.21.

Tezos rose 17.8 percent to $ 6.26.

Bitcoin now traded at $ 58,979 ($ 76,976), up 1.6 percent over the past 24 hours.

The original cryptocurrency traded between $ 55,000 and $ 60,000 in the past week and a half, losing its “dominance” or share of the overall cryptocurrency market.

Bitcoin dominance was only 57.12 percent on Tuesday, after over 60 percent on Thursday and after a high of over 74 percent on January 3.
