The web wallet for Cardano is running on the mainnet today, which excites the community and ADA funder and CEO Charles Hoskinson when he urges the community to try it out.
Yoroi wallet goes to mainnet
Another wallet from Cardano (ADA) enters the market. Yoroi Wallet is the one that runs on the mainnet today. This way, the users can send, receive and store their ADA in this web wallet. This means that users can now manage their ADA in this browser.
Yoroi is a lightweight wallet that the company claims is quick to market, so users can start sending or receiving ADA in minutes. This simple, fast and secure Cardano wallet supports five languages.
The official announcement from Yoroi Wallet reads:
“Today is a great day: We published Yoroi on the mainnet! Users can send, receive, and store ADA in a fast and secure web wallet. ”
Today is a big day: We published Yoroi on the mainnet! Users can send, receive, and store ADA in a fast and secure web wallet. Are you as excited as we are ?! #iohk #EMURGO #Cardano #ADA @InputOutputHK @Cardano @IOHK_Charles https://t.co/5HiJRitBkR

How it works, the Yoroi browser extension basically allows users to also control their money without syncing with the blockchain. In addition, users can easily import their ADAs from Daedalus into their Yoroi wallet.
In the details of the wallet, it goes on to state that the installation package does not require a lot of bandwidth due to its small installation package. Additionally, it’s a lightweight wallet, so it doesn’t require a full copy of the blockchain. This also means that little bandwidth is required.
The private keys of the user folders are not stored on centrally hosted servers, but on a user computer. They are actually encrypted with the wallet password.
Not only did this wallet get the community excited, but Cardano founder and CEO Charles Hoskinson asked the community to try it out.
Cardano just got another wallet. Try it out and let me know how it works for you https://t.co/WpygLMENKQ

Regarding the community, it was found:
“I’ve been waiting for this for weeks. Now I can finally turn on the light. I love the fact that we’re getting more and more alternatives to storing ADA. “
“Great news! The user interface looks clean and user-friendly. I can’t wait to use it. Cardano keeps delivering and marching forward,” commented another Cardano enthusiast.
