Oslo, Norway – (BUSINESS WIRE) – The desktop and mobile browser developer Opera has introduced its TRON wallet integration. The 350 million users of the web browser can send and receive TRX directly in Opera as well as access TRON DApps, which are listed in the integrated DApps Store. After Ethereum and Bitcoin, TRON will only be the third crypto network to be integrated into the Opera browser.
Opera’s decision to support the TRON network will improve global access to decentralized applications and give smartphone users access to a range of applications that exist outside of the iOS App Store and Google Play Store. In addition to being the largest cryptocurrency network, TRON is the leading DApp network supporting a wide range of gaming, gambling and trading applications.
TRON’s decentralized blockchain offers high throughput, low-cost transactions and low barriers to entry, which means that millions of users have been exposed to cryptocurrency for the first time. The integration of Opera will extend these benefits to a growing global audience while demonstrating the infinite versatility of the blockchain. Between TRON, BitTorrent and Opera, the companies will host featured DApps and access for millions of daily active users in 120 countries.
“Opera is one of the most important software companies in the world. They provide security, privacy and dynamic cryptocurrency features to hundreds of millions of users, ”said Justin Sun, Founder and CEO of TRT at TRON. “We pride ourselves on connecting the largest active blockchain ecosystem to the best web browser ever built.”
Opera has established itself as a leading advocate of privacy and advocate for Web3. His browser includes a free VPN, ad blocker, built-in messenger, and private mode. The support of Ethereum, Bitcoin and TRON via the wallet integration and the Opera DApps Store have further strengthened this goal. Opera is the first major browser to integrate a crypto wallet so that crypto payments on websites can be securely carried out directly in the mobile browser. Opera’s crypto wallet supports non-fungible tokens (NFTs), including crypto kitties, and the desktop version of the Opera browser (Developer Edition) also supports crypto assets.
TRON is dedicated to accelerating and decentralizing the Internet through blockchain technology and decentralized applications. Founded in September 2017 by Justin Sun, the company has achieved a number of successes including the launch of MainNet in May 2018, the independence of the network in June 2018 and the launch of TRON Virtual Machine in August 2018.
